Leadership Opportunities
There are many ways to take on leadership positions in the area of service.  The Office of Student Life _ Community Engagement is looking for students that will assist in the development of a new program called Scholars in Service.  Community Engagement is also looking for students interested in Immersion Programs to help develop activities and connections between groups.  Please see Tracy Reed for these opportunities.

Service and Advocacy Organizations
Get Involved - Join a Service or Advocacy Student Organization!
There are currently 6 Service and Advocacy organizations to choose from at Penn State Abington!  These student organizations are not the only clubs engaged in community service but their core mission is service and advocacy.
All Service and Advocacy organizations are required to report their volunteer hours (and philanthropic work) to Community Engagement.  Any student organization that is involved with service or philanthropic efforts are encouraged to maintain regular communication with Community Engagement and also must report their volunteer hours.

For more information about how to get involved with Service & Advocacy student organizations stop into 211 Lares.

A Place To Talk (APPT)
A Place to Talk (APTT) - this is a club that provides peer counseling for all students who need an ear to listen to them and their problems.

Community Outreach Workers (COW)
Community Outreach Workers exists to provide students with the opportunity to serve the community and campus through hands on volunteering service. We also raise money to benefit some charities that we feel the students of Penn State Students will gain awareness from and understanding. COW sponsors a monthly ABC Day, Abington Cares Days, where students are given the opportunity for direct hands on service in the greater Philadelphia area free of charge. Join us today and make an impact on someone's life!
