Project Management Bootcamp with Simulation

The course introduces the use of project management to achieve goals, produce products, deliver services, and meet targeted objectives. Participants will examine the role of the project manager and their involvement in managing the life-cycle of a project through defining task, time management, cost management, scheduling and resource allocation. Participants will use tools available to monitor the progress of projects, e.g., Gantt Charts and Network Diagrams during the project simulation exercises.

Movie: "Shored Up" Presented by Ben Kalina

Join us for an opportunity to learn about the consequences of Hurricane Sandy and the implications of and for population growth, sustainability, and coastal development.

 

This is an opportunity for the campus community to see the Sundance award-winning film "Shored-Up" and ask questions of its filmmaker and be informed about how the way we live impacts the environment.

ACURA Fall Colloquium

The student researchers who were selected by the ACURA Poster Fair judges this past April as producing the best posters are invited to present their findings in a lecture format to the campus community.

 

During the Colloquium the student researcher gives a fifteen minute lecture using Powerpoint and then answers questions of the audience.

These are held once a semester and provide an opportunity for employers from a wide variety of companies/organizations to meet our current students and recent alumni who are seeking full- or part-time employment, as well as internships.
