Welcome Week at Penn State Abington focused on celebrating all that makes the campus home — the people, academics, research, the arts, and service culminating with the official welcome of Chancellor Damian J. Fernandez to the family.

Built around themes of excellence, the campus community explored new interests and indulged their passions with concerts, lectures, art and conversations. Go to Penn State Abington on Facebook to see all of the images.

Each academic division set aside a day to engage with and to demonstrate collaboration between faculty and students. The Division of Science and Engineering set up telescopes, math games, microscopes, and physiology tests.

Business major Febin Matthew and other students discussed Abington's role in preparing graduates to give back and to live productive lives after Penn State. He said his supervisors at his internship treated him as any other employee: "They asked me to start doing advanced functions with software. I didn't know it so I taught myself."
