Witches, Wizards and Magical Beasts, Oh My! Board the Hogwarts Express to explore the magical world created by J.K. Rowling in the Harry Potter novels! Together we will take a look at the literature and mythology that exists throughout the novels. Classes in Potions, Defense Against the Dark Arts, Care of Magical Creatures, Flying, and more will be offered throughout the week. Campers will participate in many activities that may expand and enhance their knowledge of and love for the books. Campers are encouraged to dress up as their favorite character during the camp!
This camp focuses on:
- Analyzing the literature and mythology of Harry Potter
- Participating in hands-on activities in groups to foster collaborative work and learning
- Developing creativity, logic skills, critical thinking, and self-expression through discussions, drama, crafts, and games

Engaging in activities that include participating in the Sorting Ceremony, making wands, creating potions and spells, playing Quidditch, writing Daily Prophet articles, and much more!

Jenna D'Entremont
Jenna is a recent graduate in the field of Early Childhood Education with a minor in Special Education from Penn State Abington. This is her fourth year involved with summer camp and she is super excited to come back! Jenna loves Penn State and cannot wait for camps to start! Fun fact: Jenna was a THON dancer in 2019!
