Do you love anime and manga? If you do, this is definitely the camp for you! From the original shorts created in the 1960s to the “anime boom” of the 1990s, this art form has been around for years and has a following of young and old fans alike in every country. In this camp we will learn anime history, watch culturally and historically significant clips and films, and discuss the impact anime has on our world today. You can also come try your hand at creating your very own characters and manga!
This camp focuses on:
- Defining and practicing the art forms of anime and manga
- Looking at the history of anime
- Watching clips and films of anime to discuss key elements and impact
- Activities include watching anime, creating your own manga characters and storyline, discussions, etc.
