Discover or enhance your performance skills in a safe, supportive environment. Meet new friends and spend the week being creative and ridiculous! This Theatre Workshop explores the basics of acting technique, improvisation, and writing. Play theatre games and prepare for a fun showcase performance at the conclusion of the week. An open mind and a willingness to collaborate is required, but all experience levels are welcome!
This camp focuses on:
- Understanding the fundamentals of performance technique for both traditional acting technique and improvisation
- Learning the basics of dramatic structure and applying them to the creation of an original dramatic scene
- Rehearsing and performing in a scheduled public showcase performance
- Learning the role that collaboration, creativity, and risk-taking play in theatrical work
