The 402-bed Lions Gate Apartments at Penn State Abington earned LEED gold certification for the building’s sustainable design and environmental performance.

Sustainability community program expands across Commonwealth with PepsiCo funds

Five Penn State campuses have been awarded PepsiCo Challenge Mini Grants to expand community engagement efforts through Penn State’s Sustainable Communities Collaborative (SCC). Penn State Abington, Altoona, Beaver, Behrend and Brandywine will take part in a three-year pilot program to expand the SCC to Penn State communities outside of University Park.

Abington sustainability bid wins $15,000 Pepsi Challenge grant

Penn State Abington won a three-year Pepsi Challenge Mini Grant totalling $15,000 that will fund paid internships as well as student competitions and showcases all focused on strengthening local sustainability efforts.
