The mission of the Office of Global Education & Engagement is to support the development of cross-cultural awareness, an appreciation of other cultures, the development of intercultural competencies and responsible global citizenry by providing diverse global opportunities for the Penn State Abington community.
U.S. Presidential Executive Orders Concerning the International Community
The University Office of Global Programs has created an information page which outlines the most information from President Trump’s Executive Order on Immigration that has the potential for significant impact on a segment of our international student/scholar and faculty population.
This page will be updated with any new information regarding the order and offers a UPGlobal contact who can respond to questions from/for our current international students and scholars.
Opportunities for information and access to global engagement programs are available to students through semester long programs of study abroad, short-term outgoing faculty led programs with an international travel component (formerly known as embedded programs of study), incoming faculty-led programs from abroad, international internships, leadership positions as Global Ambassadors or Global Buddies and other opportunities to work and/or teach abroad upon graduation.
Faculty resources include assistance & support in the development of faculty led programs of study, access to resources available through the Global Awareness Dialogue Project, Fulbright Workshops as well as information regarding established agreements with universities around the world including agreements that are exclusive to Penn State Abington.
The office collaborates with campus partners involved with both international and diversity initiatives to support the growth & expansion of our commitment to global education.
