Canvas Learning Management System
Penn State is currently in the process of transitioning their Learning Management System from Angel to Canvas. While Angel will still be supported until Fall 2017, faculty are strongly encouraged to make the switch to Canvas as soon as possible. (Hint: It is much more user-friendly than Angel).
Over the next few months, the Center for Teaching and Learning will be developing a Knowledge Base for those who feel comfortable enough to transition on their own. Once that is ready, links will be posted on this site.
For those who would like assistance or if you have any general questions regarding Canvas, please contact Steve Brown at 215-881-7588, the Instructional Media Services department (Jeff, Andy or Mike) at 215-881-7418 or simply stop by one of the two offices.
Adobe Connect Training
Adobe Connect is a terrific resource for faculty who wish to conduct hybrid and online courses, and is an excellent alternative to cancelling classes during inclement weather. To get started, click the link below to access the the Adobe Connect Training Module.
The training module is just over twenty minutes long, provides an overview and covers the basics for getting a class started within Adobe Connect.
After reviewing the training module, you are encouraged to make your own recording and to send it to the Center for Teaching and Learning. Please note that this module is still in Beta testing. Any suggestions or feedback as to how it could be improved, should be directed to Jeff Oaster at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Additional Instructional Resources can be found on the Penn State Abington Intranet using the link below. Please note, this link will require your PSU password for access.
