Retired FBI Supervisory Special Agent James “Fitz” Fitzgerald, a 1975 Penn State graduate and a former student at Penn State Berks, is the agent responsible for bringing the Unabomber to justice. He is portrayed in the scripted Discovery Channel miniseries titled, "Manhunt: Unabomber," which premiered Aug. 1.
The Independence Blue Cross Foundation awarded the Penn State Abington RN to BSN in nursing program $7,000 to fund undergraduate nursing scholarships for underserved populations. The scholarships range from $500 to $2,500 and are available to part- and full-time nursing students who reside in the Philadelphia region.
Penn State School of Visual Arts, in collaboration with Penn State Abington, is offering a new art minor, available fall 2017, which will be available at both the Penn State University Park and Abington campuses.
"Integrated Carnival Energy Systems," a solo exhibit by Scott Pennington, opens in the Penn State Abington Gallery on Aug. 21. The exhibit runs through Sept. 29.
