Emily Steinberg is a multi-disciplinary artist with a focus on painting and visual narrative and her work has been shown across the United States and Europe. Her stories have been published by The New Yorker Magazine, Cleaver Magazine and have been included or cited in numerous anthologies and academic journals. Her visual narrative Paused is included in the Eisner award winning anthology "Menopause: A Comic Treatment," edited by MK Czerwiec and published by Penn State University Press in 2020. Steinberg teaches visual narrative at Penn State University, Abington College, and Drexel College of Medicine, where she serves as Artist in Residence. She also serves as the Visual Narrative Editor at Cleaver Magazine and curates comics submissions. 

In 2020 she developed The Reckoning, a 22-page full color visual narrative about the use and misuse of natural resources, supported by a grant from the Penn State Studio for Sustainability and Social Action.
