Summer Classes Next Steps

Summer Classes Next Steps

If you are a visiting (non-PSU) student, please make sure you follow the following steps to register for our classes:

1.  Submit the initial registration form

2. PSU will enter your information into our system, called LionPATH

3.  You will receive two emails from PSU, one asking you to create an account with a password, the other asking you to complete a registration activity guide.

4.  When you have completed all of the above, your account will be active and you will be able to register online for courses on February 5.

The process listed above takes time to complete so it is strongly suggested you take care of this in early January so that you are ready to register at 12:01 a.m. on February 5.

Thank You for Registering For Summer Classes at Penn State Abington.

You have been assigned a PSU ID #. This number is now your primary identifier in the University system. Please use your PSU ID # next time you register for a course. Your ID will be on your registration confirmation that will arrive in the mail. Any registration questions please call 215-881-7338 or 215-881-7337.

There are several things you need to do before classes begin:

Pay Your Bill

You pay your bill via LionPATH.  Questions about your bill? Please contact the Bursar office. 215-881-7325 or 7324.

Have your student ID picture taken

The Penn State id+Card is the official University identification card and provides access to university resources. Your card includes your photo and PSU ID number.

Location and Hours: Lares Building Lobby (8am to 5pm or by appt). We suggest you call prior to coming for your ID to make sure someone is there - 215-881-7507.

Activate your computer Access Account (You should have done this via the link sent to you when you set up your LionPATH account)

An Access Account is made up of a user ID and password. This account provides access to a wide range of Penn State Internet services including the on-line card catalog (LIAS), LionPath, Webmail and student computing labs. This can be done in several locations listed below:

  • Lares Lobby
  • 121 Sutherland (M-Th 8am - 9pm; F 8am – 5pm)
  • 347 Woodland Library

LionPath is the interactive service for students that provides access to academic records (course schedules, grades, transcripts, semester bill and address information). To access LionPath, you must have an active Penn State Access Account.

Buy Your Textbooks
Purchase any required textbooks. If you are interested in shopping at our campus Bookstore, it's located on the lower level of Lares Building. See Bookstore website.

Get a parking permit

To park on campus, all students must display a FREE Penn State Abington parking permit on the rear view mirror. If you plan on driving more than one vehicle, all of your cars need their own permits. Find the Parking Permit Form here.

Sign up for weather or emergency alerts

To receive text messages or phone phones any time the campus is forced to close due to weather or emergency, please sign up for PSUAlert emergency messaging service. Emergency information will also be posted on the Penn State Abington Facebool page and website home page.
