The Criminal Justice program at Penn State Abington offers a broad education that is designed to teach you the dynamics and functions of the American criminal justice system.

You will learn basic research methods for investigating issues that can help prepare you for careers with the justice system. Additionally, the program fosters skills in oral and written communication, critical thinking, problem solving, and policy analysis.

Criminal Justice​ students​ focusing on problem-solving strategies and policies took a field trip to the new Residence Hall, The Lions Gate, scheduled to open in Fall 2017. They are considering the criminogenic implications of this new chapter for Penn State Abington. ​

Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice Dr. Oren M. Gur (blue shirt) was the recipient of a 2016 Chancellor's Grant to implement preventative problem-solving strategies to mitigate potential risks associated with the opening of the new residence hall, including collaboration with the Abington Police Department.
