All students at Lions Gate are welcome to participate in activities and programs that help forge meaningful connections between residents, offer support and access to various campus and University resources, and provide an overall well-rounded residence hall experience.

Community Builders

“Community builders” are programs and activities that provide opportunities for students to connect. Community builders can be small or large-scale events ranging from a movie night to a trip into the city!

Past community builders have included pool and ping pong tournaments, gaming events, Cooking on a Budget, and Love Around the World, an opportunity for international students to teach other residents about their home country.

While RAs are responsible for implementing community builders, residents are encouraged to collaborate with an RA to develop opportunities that would be beneficial to the Lions Gate community and enjoyed by all.

Be a Good Neighbor

The Be a Good Neighbor campaign was developed to help encourage students to practice good decision-making that takes others into consideration, as well as foster a sense of belonging and inclusion both within and outside of Lions Gate.

It is important that Lions Gate residents view themselves as residents of Abington Township and recognize the expectation that, as Penn State Abington students, they should act with integrity and be respectful of the surrounding community.
