Spotlight on Delaware Valley Trusts
In a constantly changing business landscape, Penn State Abington Office of Continuing Education provides cutting-edge training to employees in Healthcare, Business, and Information Technology. Training can be offered on-site and customized to an organization’s unique challenges and long-term needs.
The Penn State Abington – Delaware Valley Trusts 20-year partnership illustrates the university’s commitment to customized area workforce education. The partnership was the result of Trusts’ efforts to address the specific technical and leadership training needs of various departments within their member government entities. What began as basic course offerings evolved into a more comprehensive certificate program as municipalities recognized the resources offered by the Penn State/Delaware Valley Trusts collaboration.
Hundreds of municipal managers, supervisors, public safety officials, police officers and other employees throughout Southeastern Pennsylvania have completed the Leadership Certificate Program for Public Entities developed by Penn State Abington for the Trusts. The program is a unique blend of management courses comprising four core courses and three electives:
