This spring, Penn State awarded approximately 13,600 diplomas to students University-wide, bringing the University’s number of graduates to an estimated total of almost 774,000. Many of these graduates celebrated their accomplishments at campuses other than University Park.

Maura Beaver, left, a communication arts and sciences major, and Aaron Hoff, civil engineering major, discuss the finer points of commencement attire as they prepare to participant in Penn State York's commencement on May 6. Beaver completed five internships while a student at Penn State York and has been hired as a marketing coordinator for Wagman Construction in York, which she begins later this month. Poff started his Penn State story at York campus, completed his degree at University Park, and decided to take part in commencement at his home campus. Hoff has a job lined-up at Wallace Montgomery in Hunt Valley, Maryland.

The Penn State Abington Class of 2016 stands out as the largest in the college's history — almost 400 strong — and one of its most distinguished: 55 graduated with distinction, four earned concurrent degrees, and five Schreyer Honors College medal recipients. A group of trailblazers became the first to take home Penn State College of Engineering degrees in the Philadelphia area.

Penn State Lehigh Valley held its annual commencement ceremony on May 7 at ArtsQuest Center at Steelstacks in Bethlehem. The campus awarded associate and bachelor's degrees to over 100 students. Bill Phillips, Men's Health editor-in-chief and 1991 alumnus, was the feature speaker at the new venue.
