A new collaboration between Penn State Abington and Moravian University allows students to save money and time while pursuing both their bachelor's and master’s degrees.
The 4+2 Pathway Program in Clinical or School Counseling allows qualified Penn State Abington undergraduate students majoring in Psychological and Social Sciences and/or Rehabilitation and Human Services to obtain pre-admission to Moravian's master of arts in Clinical Counseling or School Counseling programs.
Psychological and Social Sciences, and/or Rehabilitation and Human Services majors with a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average can apply. If provisionally admitted, Abington students will be eligible to take up to 15 credits tuition-free in master's-level coursework in either the clinical counseling or school counseling programs at Moravian.
Program Description
If conditionally accepted by Moravian, students would then be eligible to take up to 15 credits of master-level coursework at Moravian while continuing to be enrolled at Penn State Abington as a Moravian visiting student, tuition-free beginning in the semester after pre-admission, during, and through the summer of the senior year at Penn State Abington. During the fall or spring semester, Penn State Abington students will be restricted to no more than one graduate course (3 credits) per semester (fall or spring). Penn State Abington students may take up to two graduate courses (6 credits) per summer up to the 15 credits total maximum. The goal of this pathway program is to save qualified Penn State Abington students both time and money toward completing the master's degree at Moravian.
