Abington LaunchBox holding business competition for student, local entrepreneurs

ABINGTON, Pa. — Penn State Abington students and Abington Township community entrepreneurs will compete for up to $2,000 and valuable business services in the first Abington LaunchBox Business Plan Competition.

Students, student/faculty teams, and local entrepreneurs must submit the application by March 3.

Submissions must include:

  • a detailed explanation of the business concept and location;
  • SWOT analysis;
  • target market, demographics, overview of the industry;
  • sales and marketing strategies;
  • type of legal entity, date established; and
  • profiles of the management team including advisors.

Each submission must contain a video explaining/demonstrating the product or service by those involved in the business, plus financials, and an answer to the question: How would you use the prize money?

Cash prizes will range from $250 to $2,000, and all winners will receive services from the Abington LaunchBox and Penn State’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
