ABINGTON, Pa. — Head over to Sutherland Auditorium at Penn State Abington on Wednesday, Nov. 13, for Jazz Hot and Cool with the Jack Saint Clair Orchestra. The jazz orchestra is a distinctive landmark of American music, and Saint Clair and his 17-piece ensemble will perform a free concert at 7 p.m. inspired by the big band sound but reconfigured in a modern context.

The Jack Saint Clair Orchestra blends the thrill of a large jazz band with the intimacy and intricacy of a classical chamber group. The orchestra balances sophistication and spontaneity, featuring intricate ensemble arrangements with plenty of room for soloistic flights of improvisation. It's music for your mind, heart and feet.

Date: Nov. 13, 2024
