"In TV shows, quite often it comes off as people with mental health issues are just going through a phase. In reality, that's not the case. The one good thing is that the presence of mental health-related issues in TV shows allows us to start a conversation about mental health."

-- Michelle Brook, a psychology major at Penn State Abington, appeared on a panel with other students discussing stigma and stereotypes in the media. She is president of Students Over Stigma, a club dedicated to educating people about mental health issues.
