Program Overview
The Project Management Certificate Program is a structured sequence of courses that prepare students for careers in the planning and business fields. Throughout this program, students will be able to apply project management practices such as project initiation, planning and scheduling, project cost management, and project risk management. A Penn State non-credit certificate is awarded upon successful completion of the four required courses taken in sequential order.
Upon completion of the certificate program, students will have earned 84 Professional Development Units (PDUs) for the full-length program and 35 Professional Development Units (PDUs) for the accelerated program that they can put towards achieving the Project Management Professional (PMP) credential through the Project Management Institute.

Fundamentals of Project Management Workshop (Great Valley)

This workshop covers tactics on how to run a successful project, beginning with how to create a project plan, implement it, draft communication plans, monitor progress, identify risks and issues, correct as necessary and deliver as promised. Attendees will also learn how to make projects an orderly progression of completed objectives through the development of a sound project lifecycle.
Adam Selverian, lead project management instructor and vice president of project management at Accelerant Holdings, will lead the workshop. His career spans across corporate strategy and growth, operations, global process improvement, and development of process-oriented cultures for publicly traded companies. His expertise is leading project strategy and execution for systems-based global product offerings.

COURSE OBJECTIVE: Continues the Project Cycle and introduces selection criteria, procurement, cost estimating, and control mechanisms. The third of four courses required for the Certificate in Project Management.
