Army ROTC (Reserve Officers' Training Corps) is offered at Penn State Abington through a cross-town partnership with Villanova University, part of the Dauntless Battalion hosted out of Widener University. As an ROTC cadet in the Dauntless Battalion, you will engage in physical training and hands-on tactical labs alongside your required military science and leadership classes.
A number of benefits may be available to prospective cadets joining the program, including full-tuition scholarships. There are also additional opportunities to attend specialty courses, study abroad focused on foreign language immersion, and unique summer training experiences. Cadets who successfully complete their ROTC requirements will be commissioned into the U.S. Army as either active duty or reserve component (reserve or National Guard) second lieutenants in branches ranging from field artillery to explosive ordinance disposal.
Whether you're in high school, college, or already serving, there is a way you can become an officer in today's Army. The opportunities are limitless.
