President, students discuss future of the University in town hall forum

Penn State students had a chance to talk with President Eric Barron about issues that matter to them and provide feedback about the president’s vision for the University during a 90-minute University Town Hall hosted March 16 by student government organizations at the Hintz Alumni Center. More than 100 students attended in person or online, bringing issues including affordability, access and entrepreneurship to the fore.

Delegated access now accessible in LionPATH

With the delegated access function in LionPATH, students can grant a parent or guardian the ability to view a selection of their student data for fall 2016 and beyond. Parents/guardians will continue to use eLion to view spring and summer 2016 student information.

New chancellor appointed at Penn State Abington

Damian Fernandez, CEO and head of school at the Ethical Culture Fieldston School in New York City, has been named chancellor of Penn State Abington, effective July 1, 2016. Fernandez will succeed Karen Wiley Sandler, who announced her intention to retire as chancellor of the Abington campus in June after more than 20 years of service to Penn State. Sandler will remain as chancellor until June 30, 2016.

Trustees approve Abington and Brandywine housing projects

The University Board of Trustees voted Tuesday (Dec. 15) to approve residential projects at Penn State Brandywine and Abington to address the demand for housing and help the campuses continue to attract students from the Philadelphia area and out of state.
